The Release for AI For Service, v11.29.0 has been scheduled at this time. As part of tonight's activity, two coordinated changes are planned in the IND region:
1. Platform upgrade to v11.29.0: A scheduled deployment will move the platform to v11.29.0. Traffic will be switched to the upgraded cluster during an initial cutover window (8:00–9:00 PM IST), followed by validation by our QA and the customer business team before proceeding.
2. Planned Disaster Recovery (DR) exercise: Immediately following the upgrade, a pre-planned DR resilience exercise will be conducted. During this exercise, the platform will operate from a reduced availability-zone configuration to validate resilience under a simulated zone-failure scenario. This reduced-zone state will be held for approximately 26 hours, from the evening of 27 Sept through the late hours of 28 Sept, before the full configuration is restored.
Restoration Window: to full capacity - TBD
Impact areas:
- The platform remains live and fully operational throughout, including during the DR hold period. The exercise is designed to run transparently to end users. - Cutover and restoration windows involve brief validation checkpoints; no service outage is expected. - The upgrade to v11.29.0 follows standard deployment; existing configurations and behavior are preserved. - Rollback procedures are in place at every checkpoint; if any validation does not pass, traffic reverts to the current stable configuration and full capacity is restored immediately. - No customer action is required. - We will share updates as the activity progresses through its key milestones.
While no service downtime is expected during this release, we are sharing this update for your general awareness.
